For the health, safety and wellbeing of all our customers and valued staff, Gold Coast Wake Park is currently open and operating following all the directions from Queensland Health. Masks are not necessary at the moment. Gold Coast Wake Park is classed as an outdoor entertainment and leisure facility – in the same category as theme parks. When Qld borders reopen we will continue to follow the Qld Government directives. Health & Safety:

NEW Operating Procedures – COVID 19 ACTION PLAN STAGE 2

 Park Entry/Exit – All visitors will enter the park through the one designated primary entrance point any other alternate entry points will be blocked off. Similarly, there will be one exit point only (this will be around the side of the Retail building.) different and away from the entrance point.

Reception/Check In – All visitors must register at reception with contact names/address etc, including spectators. A maximum of 9 people may be at the retail area for check-in observing the 4sqm rule per person for both staff and participants

Limited 20 riders per lake per hour – In order to maintain the required numbers and social distancing associated with Covid19 we will be limiting the number of riders per hour allowed at the park. We will allow a maximum 20 riders on each lake each hour. This will be controlled by the number of wristbands issued each hour. Each hour on each lake will have a pre designated wrist band colour.

Lining up at the Starting Dock areas – Participants will be required to line up on the start dock observing the 2m spacing markings and keep required distances from everyone else. Operators and dock hands can offer remote assistance and instruction but must observe required distances and must avoid ALL physical contact

Cafe – Will be open as per normal. Café seating will be limited to a number of tables with total of no more than 20 chairs. Customers should be encouraged to buy food and take it away from the cafe area where possible.

Lining up to order food/drinks will be via a dedicated and marked lining up area observing 2m spacings

Sanitisation Stations / Equipment Hire – All communal and rental equipment (Vests, helmets, boards) must be sanitised before and after every use. Equipment must be returned to the relevant Sanitization Station (Will be located at the equipment shed). Each item must be immersed in a bin of sanitizer then removed and rinsed prior to return to the Equipment rooms. Each Sanitization Station will be manned by a staff member at all times. They will hand out all equipment, checking correct sizing, and receive all returns. Customers will NOT be allowed to access Equipment rooms for themselves during this period

Pro Shop – Will be open at all times but numbers of people in the shop will need to be monitored and restricted using the 4sqm rule per person.

Restrooms/Showers – We will keep the main toilets/change rooms open during this time. People will be encouraged to come ready to ride and to shower and change at home

Regular cleaning/sanitizing – Will occur continually throughout the day, as per Work Safe Australia guidelines for all staff and customers. Additional signage and hand sanitizer stations to be established

Frequently Asked Questions

GC Wake Park Membership Holders

All Memberships will recommence on the 11th June 2020.

PIF (Paid in Full) 1 Week, 1 Month, 6 Month and 1 Year Memberships will be extended for the same period as the temporary closure.

Direct Debit Memberships All members on the weekly payment plan have had all payments suspended directly through debit success. Keep in mind this does not mean your pass will be extended by the amount of down time once we reopen.

Get Wet Memberships will be extended for the same period as the temporary closure.

$99 Winter Memberships

Winter Wakeboarding Memberships will still be available for $99. They will be valid from the date we reopen until August 31st. Click here to buy your Winter Wakeboarding Membership.

I Purchased tickets through a third party seller (Groupon, Scoopon etc) What should I do?

Please contact the company the tickets were purchased from directly for a refund or extension of the validity date. Please note third party tickets will not be redeemable during our Stage 2 opening period.

I have a Gift Card, will this be valid?

Yes, all gift cards will have no expiration date applied. If you have purchased a discounted gift voucher please note these may only be used towards cable passes or memberships and not our programs.
